  1. It's All About the Rides

Amusement parks are full of amazing and exciting rides, and SeaWorld Orlando is no different. And you had to go through the process of getting there from Ireland, so might as well just into some fun right away!

It has thrilling roller coasters as well as more tame rides for the whole family.

The first one you'll probably want to jump on is the Manta ride because it's so close to the general entrance. It features two inline twists as well as four inversions. Talk about a wild way to start the day.

And once you ride Manta, you can also head to Kraken, which is another wild roller coaster experience. It has a G-Force rating of 3.9, which is the biggest in the park, and features two vertical loops as well as seven inversions.

And if you hit the rides right away, you might be able to avoid some of the long lines as the park fills up.

  1. Animal Instincts

Next, you'll want to head to the attraction SeaWorld Orlando is most known for - animals!

Fortunately, SeaWorld has a host of ways for guests to interact with their wide variety of animals.

One of our favorites is the Dolphin Nursery, featuring mothers and newborn dolphins. They are often the most playful and engaging for the audience.

Shark Encounter is an incredible way to see sharks up close. It features a tunnel encased in glass that is totally surrounded by sharks! And it also has a tank with amazing rays like the leopard whipray.

There are animals shows throughout the day all around the park, so look for the marked schedule of those.

And by simply walking around SeaWorld, you'll get to see flamingos, alligators, sea turtles, and more!

  1. Wear The Right Clothes!

It might seem like sunny and warm in Orlando, Florida is pretty much a given. And, generally speaking, that's true.

But a trip to SeaWorld requires a little adaptation with your clothing choices.

First, you'll want to make sure that you bring some layers. At least a sweater or a light jacket. This is because the indoor attractions, like the aquariums or the penguin environment, can get pretty chilly.

Also, you might want to check the forecast in case it looks like rain. While Orlando is a sunny and warm area, it gets frequent mid-day showers. You don't want to get stuck in a downpour without an umbrella or raincoat!

And be sure to wear quick drying clothing, because you might get splashed at some of the exhibits. But it's all in good fun, and worth the effort you went through to renew your ESTA application and fly across the pond.

  1. Eating Good in the Neighborhood

There are great food options available at SeaWorld, so it's probably a good idea to plan your day around when and where you want to stop to refuel.

Some of our favorites include Mama's Pretzel Kitchen for delicious snacking, as well as Sharks Underwater Grill for a full meal.

  1. Get To Shows Early

One final tip is that the shows have a tendency to fill up quickly. So if you've picked out specific shows you want to see, like Shamu's One Ocean or Dolphin Days, we recommend going early.

Leaving yourself an extra 20 or 30 minutes could mean the difference between getting a seat or getting shut out of the show.
